Why We Get Sick–How Drinking Distilled Water Aides Your Immune System

Water Quality–Is The Water You Are Currently Drinking Making You Sicker

I wrote a post talking about how tap water wreaks havoc on your body because it has so many additives and contaminants that your whole purpose for drinking water is pointless.  One of our main purposes for drinking water is to flush out our system  of toxins.  By drinking tap water, you may be introducing things into your body that doesn’t even belong there like heavy metals, chlorine, fluoride, and thousands of other things that pass through during the water treatment process.

Do you know that drinking tap water can be linked to certain diseases like Krohn’s disease and Alzheimer’s?  Yes, there are heavy metals and contaminants that, once consumed in large quantities, can increase your chances of getting certain diseases.

Tap water should be consumed as a last resort.

Germs, Bacteria, Viruses, Etc.

Our bodies have an internal, never-ending battle going on because we are bombarded by things that affect our health.  From the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the things we drink, it can make us really sick.  Not to mention the many people we come in contact with on a daily basis who may have some type of contagious illness that they pass on to us.

There are things like teas, broths, and certain soups that can aide in our overall health when we feel under-the-weather.  When you’re sick, one of the best things you can do for your body is drink tea concoctions that break up the mucus and allow you to clear your system of anything that’s making you sick.

Potential bacteria and viral infections are everywhere.  You wanna make sure you’re not coming in contact with people or things that are contaminated with them.  Something as simple as washing your hands can reduce the chances of infecting yourself by putting your hands in your mouth or rubbing certain areas of your face that can allow certain germs and bacteria from entering your body through your mucus membrane or bloodstream.

What Is The Purpose Of Drinking Water?

So why exactly do we need to drink water?  Isn’t drinking tea, soda, juice, and coffee good enough because they’re liquids?  Doesn’t the body need liquids?  Well, these things are liquids, but they aren’t that effective at flushing your system out the way water does (preferably distilled water).  Think of trying to take a bath in coffee or juice.  Yes, you’re getting wet, but these liquids leave a residue behind and they don’t do a good job of getting you clean the way water does.

Another good thing water does is it hydrates.  Your body is full of cells that need to stay hydrated or they’ll die.  This is why when you get dehydrated, you have certain symptoms and warning signals that tell you to drink water.  If you ignore these symptoms for long, certain bodily functions and organs start to shut down.  When this happens, your health is in jeopardy.

Water makes up about 70% of our bodies.  We lose water doing the most minor task like breathing, sweating (working out or rise in body temperature due to the temperature in a room).  We want to make sure the water we lose is put back to maintain balance.

Drink To Your Health

If you’re not a big water-drinker, make it one of your New Year’s Resolutions.  By consuming more water, you do right by your health.  You want to make sure that the quality of your water is the best.  By drinking distilled water on a regular basis, you flush your system out with better results because when distilled water passes your body, it takes more toxins with it and leaves nothing behind as it passes through the way tap water does.

Another good thing distilled water is good for is cooking and making beverages.  You may think “water’s water”, but when you use distilled water, you know that the only thing in your water is the stuff you put in yourself.  If you can help it, makes your beverages yourself.  So instead of going to the store and buying a coffee that they used tap water, make your own coffee.  Some drinks will say they use purified water (this is a process like reverse osmosis or distillation) if you read the ingredients.

There are so many things that affect our health.  Even the bottle we drink out of can be hazardous to hour health in the long run.  By flushing out your system on a daily basis, you’ll start to see how your health improves.  Some people notice that their energy levels increase and they experience mental clarity.  Not bad for something as simple as water.

The Air We Breathe Is Full Of Things That Can Make Us Sick

As I mentioned earlier, we come in contact with so many things that can infect our bodies.  This can be something  as simple as a handshake.  When someone is sick, they are coughing and sneezing, contaminating the air.  If you’re around them, especially in a room with no ventilation, you increase your chances of catching whatever they have.

There’s a misconception that we get sick during the winter because we don’t “bundle up”.  Studies have shown that people keep their windows closed more during colder climates, so you aren’t letting the air circulate, which increases the chances of you and your family of getting sick.

By being in confined spaces where there’s no air circulation, the air can be contaminate for hours.  So if someone sneezed in a bathroom with no windows, there’s a higher chance of people getting sick who use that bathroom.  We get sick most of the time, not because people are sick around us, it can be we just entered a room where a sick person has been coughing and sneezing, and didn’t air the room out.

Alkalizing The Body–Staying Well Longer

Do you know that lemon is very alkalizing, even though it’s very acidic.  When you take lemon water or juice into your body, it start to alkalize your body.  This is one of the reasons why people drink tea with lemon because it boosts your immune system by making it more alkaline.

There are microorganisms that can’t survive in an alkaline environment.  They actually thrive in an acidic environment.  So if you’re noticing you’re getting sick frequently, your pH balance may be outta whack.  Did you know that drinking distilled water can give you that same alkalizing effect?

People who drink a lot of distilled water tend to stay sick less often.  They’re constantly flushing out their bodies, which helps aide in a stronger immune system.  Think about it. If your body is being cleanse frequently, do you think it has a chance to get sick that often?

Distilled water doesn’t keep your from getting sick for good.  What it does is aides your body to do what it does naturally.  So your body’s natural cleaning and filtration system doesn’t get clogged due to a constant bombardment of contaminants in the food, air, and other things that enter your body.  When your body fights, repairs, and cleanses itself, distilled water helps push the gunk out of your system to keep things running smoother.

Can Going On A Water Fast Speed Up The Recovery Process?

I wrote about the power of fasting in my last post.  Fasting has so many health benefits that we aren’t exploring because we, as a society, loves to eat.  We eat when we’re hungry, we eat when we’re feeling down, and we even eat when we are bored.  This is a major reason why so many people in Western countries are obese more than other countries.

By not eating for a few  days to a few weeks, you give your body a break from digesting food and it starts to repair things that have been breaking down over the years.  Fasting is also a very effective way to lose body fat.  Not eating over a certain period of time regulates your hormones, like insulin, which controls fat storage.  If your body isn’t eating and storing fat, it will have to get energy from it’s fat reserves, which is how you can lose fat more effectively compared to people who only restrict calories.

So if you’re feeling sick or injured, by not eating over a few days or weeks can actually speed up your recovery in a shorter time span than the average person.

Can Medicine Make You Sicker?

Have you ever watched a commercial with some man walking through a field, talking about how he’s taking a medication for hair loss, how having hair increases his confidence, etc.?  Did you ever listen to how they’ll say,

“[MEDICATION NAME HERE] isn’t for everyone.  Side effects includes…”

It’s funny because some of these hair treatment medications may give you a full head of hair, but you’ll see that side effects may include impotence.  In case you don’t know, that means your ‘ah-hem’  “Soldier doesn’t salute proud and tall”.  So that means the women will like that you have a head full of hair, loving your confidence, but when it comes time to take things to the bedroom, you can’t perform because the hair treatment is messing with your erections.  This is only one example.

Medication can help your body heal, but it should not be a crutch you rely on.  Your body doesn’t get the credit it deserves.  Do you know that a lot of times the less you do, like getting a lot of rest, fasting, and eating better, your body can work at an optimal level?

Don’t take medicine unless it’s REALLY necessary.

Prevention Is The Best Remedy

By protecting yourself from certain infections and diseases, you won’t have to deal with the pain of being sick or disease-ridden.  Wearing condoms prevents you from sexually transmitted diseases at a 99% rate.  When someone is sick, a good way to decrease your chances of getting sick is to not eat or drink after them.  You don’t want to treat sick friends, family, and co-workers like outcasts, but you want to protect yourself from getting sick, which can ruin your plans for the week.

Here are some good ways to protect yourself from getting sick:

Drink plenty of (distilled) water.  By flushing out your system frequently, you decrease the occurrence of being sick.  So if you are sick, you won’t be sick multiple times out of the year.

Keep air circulating throughout your house.  For those cold winters, you may want to invest in an air purifier to decrease your chances of getting sick if you keep your windows closed.

Drink liquids and take vitamins that can boost your immune system when you’re not sick.  If you’re sick, you’re playing catch-up when you try to boost your immune system.  The best time to boost your immune system is when you’re feeling well.  This decreases your chances of getting sick in the first place.

If you’re getting over a cold, you want to boost your immune system during this time because your body will need that boost after such a long battle with whatever was ailing you.  It’s like eating a meal after you just finished running a marathon.

The best remedy is prevention.

Having Your Own Water Distiller Machine Can Keep You Well Longer

By being able to make your own distilled water from the comfort of your kitchen, this allows you to keep your refrigerator stocked with fresh, distilled water on a daily basis.  Bottled water can be expensive, especially if you drink, cook, and make beverages with it.  By investing in a water distiller machine, you save a lot of money because you can make distilled water using the stuff coming right from under your faucet.

In the link below, you’ll be redirected to a trusted site where you can buy your very own Megahome Heavy Duty Distiller machine.  This machine can last you for years to come because it’s built to last, unlike a lot of cheaper machines on the market.

The Benefits Of Distilled Water–The Power Of Fasting

For something that people have been doing for thousands of years, little is known about the power of fasting.  Why?  Modernization and school has made us believe that we need to eat often or we will starve.  After reading this post, you’ll see how much power there is behind doing something as simple as not eating for a certain period of time.

How Long Can You Really Go Without Food?

If you don’t eat for an extended period of time, a hormone in your body called Ghrelin send a message to your brain to make you feel hungry.  The feeling of hunger is not a bad thing.  It’s actually a defense mechanism.  If this hormone didn’t send that message to your brain, you may never feel the need to eat and may actually starve to death.

Your body needs food for energy, but not as often as you think.  The reason why we get fat in the first place is because, evolutionary speaking, your body doesn’t know when it’s going to get it’s next meal.  So when you eat, it spikes your insulin, telling the body to store the food (in the form of glycogen or fat) you’re eating to use for energy just in case there’s a famine.

What happens if you don’t eat for an extended period of time?  When you’re not stuffing your face with food every few hours, once the glycogen (a form of energy your body uses) in your body is tapped out, your body will start eating it’s fat reserves.  Once you have no more fat in your body, then it will start to eat away at the muscle and this is why your body is actually starving.  This usually happens if you don’t eat enough over a long period (possible months).  This is why you can see anorexic peoples bones all over their body because the body is starting to eat away at the muscle.

By not eating for a few hours to a few weeks, you will not starve to death… unless you don’t have enough fat in your body to survive in the first place.  This is usually for people whose bodies can’t store fat or people who are anorexic.  As a matter of fact, one of the most powerful ways to lose weight is to go on a short fast each day called Intermittent Fasting.  I’ve done this and have lost a lot of fat.  Some people go on longer fast (over a few days to a few weeks) to detox their body and heal their bodies at a much higher efficiency.

Let’s talk about that right now…

The Human Body Never Gets A Chance To Fully Heal And Here’s Why…

We give our bodies a rest every night when we go to bed.  We give it rest days when we work out.  The problem is we never give our digestion a rest.  Instead, when we’re sick or injured, we might eat more to “keep up our strength”.

When you eat, your body has to do a lot to process all that food and energy before it leaves your body via urination or bowel movement.  There are muscles moving that food through your system that never gets a rest until you go to sleep.  If you were to stop eating for a few days, your body would do some amazing things that you never thought possible.

There have been people who made claims of scars disappearing when they went on an extended fast (over a few days to a few weeks).  They may have had some type of disease or illness that went away because they gave their body the rest it needed to focus on repairing the problem areas.

One of the things your body does is rid itself of things that don’t belong.  If you have some type of disease, your body says,

“Okay, not eating?  Now let me fix that other problem I couldn’t fix all this time because I was too busy digesting food”

If you want to test this out for yourself, consult your physician and homeopathic healer.  Here’s a video of a YouTuber (I’m actually subscribed to his channel.  He has other fasting videos too) who did an 18-day water fast, giving his experience….

When Animals Get Wounded…

When animals get wounded in the wild, they’ll lay out and not eat for days.  Nature knows that when you don’t eat, your body can fully rest and this is when the healing begins.  It will cleanse itself of toxins, it will eat away at bad tissue that your body doesn’t need.  It will do things that you never thought was possible, but in order to get to that point… you may need to go without eating for a few days to a few weeks.

Surgery and medicine is a fairly new concept, evolutionary speaking.  When humans were hurt, we would remove the object that may have pierced our body, put some type of herb or leaves on it, and let the body go to work.  Surgery has it’s place and saves thousands of lives a day, but your body doesn’t get enough credit for doing something before the invention of the scalpel.

Eating All Day Long Is A Fairly New Concept

Before the invention of the grocery store or supermarket, humans had to do what animals did… either scavenge for for or hunt for food.  You couldn’t go and buy some fruit from a fruit stand.  When you  came across a food source, if it could last a few day, you would load as much as possible in some type of ancient storage area.  If the food would rot after being out in the hot sun for hours, like meat, you and your group (tribe) would have to eat as much as possible before your next meal.  Some groups would follow certain animals which made having an available food source much more accessible.

In modern times, we have become very spoiled.  We have become so spoiled that we actually throw food away when we don’t want it anymore.  In ancient time, nothing got wasted.  Even the bones of an animal was used.  Just imagine if an ancient hunter/gatherer saw you throw food away.  They would think you’re crazy and eat the food right from the ground where you left it.

Food is very important, and we need it to survive, but the human body makes sure that it does everything in it’s power to ensure it’s survival.  Not having a ready food source meant that the food you ate during that big feast was stored as glycogen or fat and your body used it for energy when there was no food available.

In Ancient Times Humans Wouldn’t Eat For Days Or Weeks At A Time

As mentioned above, during ancient times, humans would go days without eating.  They survived and were able to keep the human population from going extinct.  If you read certain biblical claims, they give the age of some of the people in the hundreds.  Not sure if they used a different calendar than we do, but you can actually live longer when you aren’t eating every few hours.

During ancient times, people appreciated food.  They would eat big feast and treat food like medicine in certain instances.  This mentality has been lost in modern times, especially in developed countries.  What do people do?  We go food shopping and eat 6 meals or more per day.  When we don’t like a certain type of food, we throw it away.  In ancient times, when food was scarce, people had to endure eating some of the worst-tasting foods imaginable.

You may think that not eating for more than a week is preposterous, but people do it, just like the video above.  When you fast for about 16 hours or more per day, you do your body justice because your body fat is being tapped into on a daily basis.  The problem with eating all the time, your body doesn’t get a chance to really get to it’s fat reserve to lose body fat.  Most people have to rely on restricting their calories and burning those extra calories to lose weight.  Notice I said weight and not fat.  When you restrict your eating without doing an Intermittent Fast, your body is still storing fat because your insulin is always being spiked (your body stores body fat and glycogen).  When you stop eating for for an extended amount of hours per day, your body gets to tap into those fat reserves, making fat loss much more easier and effective.

If you’re interested in doing Intermittent Fasting, consult your physician and do research of your own.

The Human Body Is Built For Fasting

From an evolutionary standpoint, the human body can go without food for a really long time.  During this time, your body will use fuel sources from food you’ve eaten and, while you’re fasting, it will pull from the fat it stored while you were eating.   Believe it or not, but you have more energy than you think… even if you haven’t eaten anything for hours.

Think about this scenario:

You’re a hunter who is looking for food.  It’s been two days since you had your last meal.  The lakes are dried up, so you can’t fish, and there is no fruit or nuts to eat.  You have to find something to kill to eat.

You look directly in front of you… it’s a lion.  It hasn’t eaten for days either and you are looking like a good meal to him right about now.  Your fight or flight kicks in…

Even if you haven’t eaten in days, your body is using energy that it stored from your last meal.  So when your body uses up one fuel source (glycogen) it will start dipping into your fat reserves.  If you came face to face with a lion, even though you haven’t eaten anything, your mind would become razor sharp, your adrenaline would be pumping so if you need to run or fight, your body will allow you to do so.  Food would be the last thing you would want right about now.

This is why your body is built for fasting.  It doesn’t need food every few hours in order to function.  It feels like you can’t function if you miss a meal because you’ve become spoiled by having food anytime you want.  If you were caught in a situation where you couldn’t eat for a few hours, and danger was present, your body would kick into high gear, shut off certain hormones to keep you from feeling hungry, and sharpen your senses and increase other hormones to ensure your survival.

Don’t underestimate how long you can go without eating.  The human body has been able to go without food for long periods of time over the millennia.

People Have Made Claims To Being Cured Of Certain Diseases While Fasting For An Extended Period Of Time

Modern medicine tells us that we need to cut out damaged tissue to ensure we don’t spread the damage to other tissue in our body.  If you have a malignant tumor, we are told that we need to get it cut out so the cancer won’t spread to the rest of our body.  Some people have made claims that, by doing a longer fast (several days or weeks), they were able to  rid themselves of tumors.

How is this possible?

When the body goes into a long fast, it will stop using it’s energy to digest food (there’s no food in the system so it won’t need to).  During this time, the body will repair damaged tissue.  So the people who have made claims that they were able to rid themselves of the tumor by doing a long fast, what their body was doing was repairing itself and getting rid of the damaged tissue.

The reason why so many people don’t get to this point of healing their bodies is because most people don’t either know about this or they don’t want to deal with the pain of not eating for a really long time.

To find out more about cures and healing using fasting, you can do further research online.

After A Long Fast, You Should Re-Introduce Solid Foods Into Your Body Slowly

When you haven’t eaten for a really long time, your body will need to slowly introduce solid foods into your system.  People who come off of a long fast usually drink broths and eat foods that are easy to digest.  I’ve seen people (like the video above) eat watermelon to break their long fast.   Watermelon is very alkalizing and can give your body the nourishment it needs after not getting any food for so long.  Watermelon is very easy to digest because it’s mostly fruit juice.

After Coming Off A Long Fast, You Hit The “Reset Button” On Your Health

The beauty of doing a long fast is it allows you to hit the reset button on your diet.  Being that you haven’t eaten in so long, the additives used in the food you eat won’t have their addictive effects on you.  So if you wanted to eat more whole foods rather than junk food, your body may start craving those foods more being that your body is more hungrier for richer vitamins and minerals that are found in larger amounts in whole foods.

Drink More Distilled Water For Better Health… Even When You’re Not Fasting

While you’re doing either an Intermittent Fast or a long fast over a few days or weeks, you want to stay hydrated.  Water helps push out more toxins from the body, increasing the power of the fast.

The best water to use, because it holds so many toxins, is distilled water.  Distilled water doesn’t leave anything behind after you drink it, it passes through your body, taking with it the toxins that don’t belong in your body.

If you’re interested in doing a fast, you may want to consult your doctor to see if your system can handle such a long period without eating.  Even though fasting is good for you, it can still harm you if your body isn’t able to handle it.  Remember that you are not eating, so all the nutrients you would get from food, you’re not getting them.  Also, the healing that your body goes through may be so intense that your body may not be able to handle the shock.

Start off slow.  Don’t eat for about 16 hours.  When you get use to that over a few weeks, try to do a 24 hour fast each week.  Once you’re able to handle that, Do a 48 or 72-hour fast.  There have been people who have made claims that they felt rejuvenated after fasting for 72 hours (3 days).

If you decide to do a fast or not, I still highly recommend you drink distilled water.  You’ll be surprised how doing that alone can improve your health in a major way.

The 90-Day Distilled Water Gallon Challenge

What exactly is a 90-day distilled water gallon challenge?  It’s drinking one gallon of distilled water a day for 90 days.  Sounds easy, right?  Well if you’re not a big water-drinker, it can be very challenging because you have to do this for 90 days straight.

In this post, I’m going to give you my experience and what to expect when you take on this little challenge.  But first, let me tell you why I took on this in the first place.

Why I Tried This Challenge In The First Place

It was a few years back when I first started learning about the many benefits of drinking distilled water.  There’s a guy by the name of Andrew Norton Webber who has some videos on the many benefits of drinking distilled water and he mentioned how things start to change for you health wise if you drink distilled water for 90 days straight.  The thing that stuck out most from what he said was it can give you clearer vision.  Being that I wear glasses, this is the reason why I wanted to try this.  I wanted to test it out for myself.

Being that I’m not a very big water drinker, it wasn’t a habit of mine, so it became more of a challenge.

My Experience Drinking A Gallon Of Distilled Water A Day

When I tried this 90-day distilled water challenge, it was not as hard as I thought it would be.  I felt well-hydrated at all times, my body felt more limber and loose because drinking water lubricates your joints and muscles so you’ll experience more flexibility when you workout.  My body was well-flushed from the foods and drinks I consumed because I was constantly using the bathroom.  As mentioned in previous posts, distilled water holds more toxins that can be removed from the body when you use the bathroom.

Unfortunately, I only made it about 2/3 of the way there.  I was only able to make it to 60 days in a row.  There were times when I didn’t feel like drinking water but only drank it because it was part of the challenge.  I also got tired of running to the bathroom so frequently once I was done with my gallon.  I do plan on trying another 90-day distilled water gallon challenge in the near future.  This time I hope that I can make it all the way to 90 days and beyond.

8 Cups Of Water Is The Recommended Daily Water Intake

The daily recommended water intake is about 8 8-oz cups of water a day.  That comes out to 64-ozs of distilled water.  This is very easy to do.  All that is is two 32-oz bottles of water or around 2 liters of distilled water a day.  I can drink that within one-two hours.

The best part about this is it doesn’t take much to drink your daily recommended amount of water within a 24-hour period.  With that being said, we still find it hard to drink that amount.  This is another good thing about the challenge because, by being able to drink a gallon a day for a certain period of time, it gets you in the habit of drinking more water after the challenge has ended.

One Gallon Is Twice The Daily Recommended Water Intake

A gallon of water  is about 3.78 liters of water or about 16 8-oz cups of water.  That’s a grand total of 128 ounces of water a day.  This is why you’re constantly going to the bathroom  because whatever your body doesn’t need, it gets rid of.  Don’t take this as you losing all your nutrients from your body because whatever your body needs it will hold on to and if their is any loss of vitamins and minerals, it’s the excess that your body gets rid of during urination and bowel movement anyway.

Drinking a gallon of distilled water is twice the daily recommended intake of water they say your body needs, but the excess water you’re drinking will help put back the water you lose during sweating, urination, bowel movements etc.  It’s going to lubricate your muscles and joints, so you may experience less stiffness in your joints and muscles.  Being that your body is flushing out constantly, all the excess salt and toxins are being eliminated from your body on a regular basis.

Drinking Other Beverages Don’t Count As Part Of Your Gallon

Just because you’re consuming liquids doesn’t mean it counts as part of your gallon of water… even if the beverage you made was using distilled water.  You want to drink distilled water because it has nothing added and gives your body the flush it needs of toxins and other things that don’t belong in your body.  This includes the things that your food and beverages leave behind that don’t really belong in your body.

So when you take on this challenge, you can consume other beverages, but just understand that it won’t be included as part of your gallon a day consumed.

A Gallon Of Distilled Water A Day Won’t Hurt You

There’s a big misconception that you’ll get Hyponatremia, or water intoxication if you consume a gallon of distilled water a day.  Water intoxication is when you drink so much water that your cells start to get damaged and it can kill you.  In order to get to that point, you would have to drink  GALLONS of water within a few hours.  You are only drinking one single gallon of distilled water for the whole day.

Your body has a mechanism that doesn’t allow you to get to this level very easily.  This is why you are using the bathroom so much.  Your body is releasing the water it doesn’t need.

You Don’t Have To Finish One Gallon Of Distilled Water In One Sitting

You have many hours to finish off a gallon of distilled water in a day.  You can drink as much as you want within a certain time period but it doesn’t has to be all at once.  It’s actually recommended that you don’t drink it all at once.

You can drink water with your meals, you can drink water in between meals.  You can drink water after you work out.  You can drink water as one of the first things you do after you wake up.  It doesn’t matter how you do it or how much, just understand that this is not a race to see how fast you can drink a gallon, it’s a marathon of how long can you drink one gallon each day.

Within each day, don’t force yourself to drink a lot of water at one time or you will quit very early… especially if you are not use to drinking so much water in a single day.

Pissing Like A Race Horse

The most annoying thing about drinking a gallon of distilled water a day is you are constantly using the bathroom.  If you’re using the bathroom every 10-20 minutes, this can be very annoying.  After a while, you might find yourself getting an empty gallon jug and urinating in that and dumping it later on in the day.  This is natural so don’t get scared if you are using the bathroom 2-3 times an hour.

Two things I don’t suggest when drinking a gallon a day.

  1. Drinking a lot of water close to your bedtime.
  2. Drinking a lot of water at your job or if you’re gonna be at a place where you can’t go to the bathroom frequently.

It’s a good idea to finish your water about 2-3 hours before you go to bed.  At your job, try to stretch out 1-2 liters of water throughout your work hours.  Don’t finish them too fast or you will be taking frequent bathroom breaks.  If you work at a job that has an assembly line or conveyor you need to be at for hours on end, drink a little water on your breaks.  If you work at an office environment, keep one liter of distilled water at your desk, and possibly keep the gallon jug at home or the refrigerator at your job.

How To Avoid Constant Bathroom Breaks At Work

Having to constantly use the bathroom at work slows down production or just has your supervisor feel the need to lecture you about constantly leaving your station.  It’s best to play it safe and not drink so much water during your work hours.  Here’s a good tip to use to avoid bathroom breaks.

  1. Drink about one liter of water before you leave the house for work.  If you wake up, shower, get dressed, and leave the house right away, take a liter of water with you.  Sip on it throughout your work hours.
  2. Drink no more than two liters of water during your work hours.
  3. Give yourself about 8-10 hours to finish 1-2 liters of water.  The less water you consume, the less you’ll have to go to the bathroom.

If you can finish 1-2 liters of distilled water by the end of your work shift, the easier it will be consuming the last amount of your gallon.

A Good Strategy To Use To Finish One Gallon Of Distilled Water Each Day

It’s not that difficult to drink so much water as long as you have a good strategy.  Why do you need a strategy?  The hardest part about drinking one gallon of distilled water a day is having to constantly go to the bathroom at the most inopportune time.  At your job, if you constantly leave your station, this will slow down production.  If you’re in class and have to keep using the bathroom, the teacher is going to think you’re trying to play hooky.  This doesn’t really happen when you use a good strategy.

Finish the First Liter As Early As Possible.  A good practice is to finish your first liter of water as soon as you wake up.  When you finish the first liter, it’s much easier to drink the rest of them.

Finish your second liter by the end of your shift or school hours.  Sip your water slowly throughout your workday.  When you feel the need to use the bathroom, it will be much later in the day than earlier on in your shift or school hours.  The less bathroom breaks, the more you can learn or produce.

Finish your third liter when you get home as early as possible.  This is when it gets a little tough.  Between your 2nd and 3rd liter of distilled water, you will notice that you have to use the bathroom a lot more frequently.  Lucky for you, you’re at home and have better access to a bathroom.

Try to finish the last of your gallon about 2-3 hours before you have to go to bed.  The last thing you want is to keep going to the bathroom in the middle of the night.  This will kill your sleep time and have you very tired before heading into work.  You want to be well-rested because you have to do this all over again the next day for the next 89 days.

Drinking more water should not alter your life for the worst.  The point of this challenge is to reap the rewards of drinking more distilled water each day, not punish you and ruin your daily routine.

Drinking Distilled Water On The Go

When you are out and about for hours, you don’t want to play catch-up with your water consumption.  The more water you finish in a short period of time, the more frequently you’ll use the bathroom.  By taking your water with you on the go, you can drink a liter while you’re at the store, shopping, hanging out with friends, etc.

A really good investment is buying an empty liter bottle that you can fill up and take with you.  Make sure you have a bottle with a leak-proof top.  You may throw your bottle in your car and the last thing you want is a wet seat or a puddle because the top is leaking.

Here’s a bottle I use whenever I drink distilled water–> Empty Liter Bottles

Unfortunately, these bottle have tops that are not leak-proof.  I would recommend you buy some twist caps in their place–> 48mm Water Bottle Replacement Caps

Buying Distilled Water For 90 Days Can Get Expensive

Unlike tap water, you can’t just put a gallon jug under the faucet and drink up.  You will have to either buy or make your distilled water.  Buying a gallon a day can be very costly, but if you make your distilled water, over time, you’ll be spending pennies per gallon if you average it out.

Just like me, you may want to do another 90-day distilled water challenge in the future if you didn’t make it to 90 consecutive days.  You may want to invest in a machine that you can make the water whenever you want without spending a lot of money each time.  Take my word for it.

Buying A Water Distiller Machine Can Save You A Ton Of Money In The Long Run

It’s may cost about $90+ to buy your 90-day distilled water supply by the gallon.  This can be very costly if you want to continue to drink distilled water after the challenge.  By getting yourself a water distiller, you actually save money in the long run.

After one year, you’ll notice that the machine starts to pay for itself.  If you’re making more than one gallon a day, you actually get your money back in half to two-thirds of the time.  Being able to make distilled water without leaving your house, you save so much time and money because all you have to do is fill up the machine, set it, and let it do it’s thing.  After some hours, you have a fresh batch of distilled water that didn’t cost a thing to make and didn’t require you to leave the comfort of your kitchen.

This Challenge Is Easier To Do When You Can Make Your Own Distilled Water

When you don’t have to keep going to the store, or stock a weeks worth of water somewhere in your house, this challenge gets a little easier.  By having a machine that can make the water for you, you could possibly make 2 or more gallons every other day and not waste much space storing it, and no money making it.

Easy access and not constantly spending money on water makes this challenge easy and cost-effective in the long run.  If you don’t want to buy a machine, you may notice that you’re either spending more on bottled distilled water or you’re using tap water just to save money.  This is the last thing you want to do for your health.

I Don’t Think I Would Have Done This Challenge Without Owning A Water Distiller Machine

If I didn’t have my very own water distiller, I wouldn’t have taken on this challenge because it’s very expensive to drink distilled water every single day.  I use it for other things like coffee, teas, and I also cook with it.  That’s possibly 2 bottles a day which will double my cost.

By having my own water distiller, I was able to save a ton of money, spending almost nothing to make distilled water on a daily basis.  You have the cleaner that you may be spending money on each month, but this is not pricey at all compared to if I bought 2 gallons of water per day.

Why You Want To Have Your Very Own Water Distiller

If you’re one of those people who likes to save money, a water distiller is a great investment.  Just like any good investment, the initial cost is what can cost the most.  After that, you notice that you’re saving money.  If you buy a really good water distiller, and take good care of your machine, you’ll only have to buy it once and it can last you a lifetime.

If you want to go the cheap route and buy a cheaper machine, your machine will break down and you’ll actually be spending more money in the future.  When it stops working, you’ll have to buy a new one which may be more than the cost of a really good one.  I made this mistake and I had to pay for it in more ways than one.  Before I bought another machine, I had to buy my water by the gallon.  I had to spend extra money that could have went to something better.  I highly recommend you make the right choice the first time.

Does Distilled Water REALLY Cause An Early Death?

The Misconceptions Of Distilled Water

There’s a major misconception about distilled water and how it affects the body, which gives people the false notion it will cause an early death. I’ve been drinking distilled water for years now and I am living proof that it has not done any harm to my body.  I’m gonna list a few reasons why people think that distilled water is unsafe to drink.  After reading this, you’ll have some clarity on if you should start drinking distilled water or not if you  have been under this false notion.

“Drinking Distilled Water Is Not Safe To Drink”

Let me ask you a question:

“Would you rather breathe air with smog, smoke, or any type of pollution or would you rather breathe the cleanest air you can breathe?”

The obvious choice is breathing the cleanest air you can breathe.  Think of distilled water the same way.  There is nothing added, but most (or all) of the things in your drinking water has been removed during the distillation process.

So if your tap water has a lot of additives and harsh metals, wouldn’t it be better to drink water with nothing at all?  Why?  When your water is void of everything, it holds a lot more toxins when it flushes out your body.

“Distilled Water Is For Medical Use Only”

Wanna know why distilled water is used medically?  Because when you’re doing dentistry, surgery, or any other type of medical or dental procedure, the last thing you want is an infection due to something that may be in the water.  This is the main reason why it’s used in the medical world.  The thing is distilled water is not medicine, so you can drink it the way you would any other type of beverage.  Drinking distilled water on a daily basis cannot give you an overdose the way medicine can.

“It’ll Leach Minerals From Your Body”

There are two types of minerals:

Organic minerals are found in plants or foods that have minerals that naturally occur.  Inorganic minerals are minerals that are not naturally found in food.  Inorganic minerals are not really meant to be in the body and this is why drinking distilled water to remove them is not really that bad.  If you want food rich in certain minerals, get it from a source where it is naturally found like certain plant-based foods.

A lot of our food is “fortified” with vitamins and minerals, meaning that it’s added by people to give the food more nutritional value.  Unfortunately, some of these vitamins are not properly absorbed by the body.  This is one of the reasons why you want to have a diet where the vitamins and minerals are organic because it can absorb into the body more effectively.

“It Doesn’t Give Your Body The Minerals It Needs”

Your water should not be your mineral source.  This is an argument people make to get people to drink more tap water.  Being that tap water has minerals (among other things), people will say it’s a better choice.  Don’t rely on your water source to give your body it’s daily dose of certain minerals.  Instead, look for foods that have an organic supply of these minerals because it will absorb into the body a lot better, and also, be your primary mineral source.

The main job of water is to flush and hydrate.  When your water has nothing added like distilled water, it does the best job of flushing your body because it holds more toxins and things that need to be removed from the body.  While it does that, it gives your body the hydration it needs.  Yes, it also flushes out minerals from the body, but as mentioned previously, it only does so to inorganic minerals, which actually helps prevent complications and mineral build-up.

“It’s Too Acidic”

When it comes to distilled water, on the pH scale, it will lean closer to being acidic.  So you may think,

“I want my body to be more alkaline, why should I drink water that’s going to make my body more acidic”.

Well, think of a lemon.  A lemon is very acidic, but once it’s in the body, it actually alkalizes the body.  Distilled water works the same way.

If you were to drink more distilled water, your body would become more alkaline and it can prevent certain problems that people have who are leaning more towards being acidic.

Reasons Why You SHOULD Be Drinking Distilled Water

Water is the most important substance on Earth.  Water makes up about 70% of the Earth and the human body has about that same percentage in it.  The problem is not all water is created equal.  As mentioned numerous times throughout this site, tap water should be drank as a last resort.

Distilled water is slept on as a good water supply because it’s not advertised like other types of water.  People focus on drinking water infused with something instead of drinking water that has absolutely nothing added to it.  Strip away these things from the water and it start to become more powerful.  It starts cleansing your body in a way that it may not have been cleansed before.

Here are a few reasons why you SHOULD be drinking distilled water…

It Does An Excellent Job Of Cleansing The Body

When someone mentions water, the first thing we associate it with is a “thirst-quencher” or “something to bathe with”.  We usually don’t think of water as something we use to cleanse the body (internally, that is).  One of the jobs of water is to internally flush out things that our body needs to get rid of.

If you want to have better health, it’s best to drink clean water that can do a really good job of cleansing the body.  This removes waste and mineral deposits that can harden in our bodies, causing certain diseases and ailments.  Unfortunately, most of the water people drink, they’re putting in more things into their body than they’re removing.

Distilled water is the best because it has nothing in it.  Just regular H-2-O.  Think of a cloth used to wipe a dirty table.  The more cleaner the cloth is, the more effective it is to clean that table.  If the cloth is dirty, it may leave a bad smell behind, it won’t get all of the dirt off of the table but just move it around making a bigger mess.  Distilled water is cleaner because it has nothing in it, which means it collects more “dirt” from your body and removes it without leaving anything behind.

Tap water is one of the worst types of water to drink to cleanse your body.  Why?  It is loaded with things your body doesn’t need and, when they pass through your body, it actually leaves a lot of stuff behind.  So, kinda like a dirty cloth, it may just be moving the toxins around in your body, and also “leaving a dirty smell behind”.

It Holds More Toxins

As mentioned previously, the cleaner the water is, the more effective it is at cleansing the body.  When you have a clean, dry cloth, it is able to pick up more dirt from the place you’re cleaning.  When too much dirt is gathered on the cloth (or you decide to use a dirty cloth to clean), the task is much harder because it seems like all you’re doing is moving the dirt around.

Distilled water has nothing in it which means it’s “empty”.  The emptiness of this water is what gives it it’s power.  While everyone is looking for water that is infused with certain minerals or vitamins, just drinking plain, old distilled water may actually do a better job.

Drinking distilled water makes the detoxifying process much quicker.  Your body has a cleaning system of it’s own.  The only problem is you need to make sure that the cleaning and filtration system is not getting any build-up.  When there’s build-up, it slows down the cleaning process or it doesn’t do a proper job at cleaning up.  When this system is flushed regularly, you’ll notice that your whole system is running more efficiently.

It Alkalizes The Body

If you look on the pH chart, distilled water is slightly more acidic, but when it enters the body, it actually alkalizes the body.  Think of a lemon.  A lemon is very acidic, but it does a great job at alkalizing the body as mentioned earlier.

What does that mean?

Well, the reason why we get sick most of the time is because bacteria thrives in acidic environments.  When your body’s pH level is more acidic, you are more inclined to getting sick.  When it’s more alkaline, bacteria can’t thrive in that environment, so they’ll die much faster or you won’t be sick as often.

Drinking distilled water brings your body’s pH level to where it needs to be to keep your body more alkaline, which can keep you from getting sick as frequently as possible.  Something as simple as drinking distilled water can keep your body in better health, which can keep you out of the doctor’s office.

Having a more alkaline body has other benefits that you can do further research on.

It Doesn’t Cost A Lot Of Money To Buy By The Gallon

For something that’s so powerful, you would think that distilled water would be the most expensive water you could buy, but it’s actually the opposite.  The water that everyone buys in a higher volume is spring water.  They buy mineral water or water that has things added to it to give you certain vitamins and minerals your body “needs”.  As mentioned before, you can get all the vitamins and mineral from the food you eat.

If want to start drinking more distilled water now, all you have to do is go to your local supermarket and buy a gallon ( or two).  If you compare the price to any other type of water, you’ll notice that it’s the cheapest.  Do not buy the distilled water that has fluoride added.  This defeats the purpose of drinking distilled water.  You want to keep fluoride out of your body.  They try to say that fluoride is good for dental health, but studies have been made that says that fluoride does more harm than good to your body.

Truth be told, but did you know that you can actually get GALLONS of distilled water for free?

Want Fresh Distilled Water For Free?  Why Not Make It?

All it takes is a small investment that can go a long way.  By having your own water distiller, you can use regular tap water and convert it into a much better drinking water source.  Just fill up your water distiller, set it, and hours later you can have a fresh gallon of water that didn’t cost you a thing.

One of the best things to buy that can improve your health is a water distiller.  This specific one can sit right on your countertop and takes up barely any space.  By having a water distiller, you can have about 3 gallons of distilled water for pennies on the dollar.  Buying gallons of distilled water can be costly over the years, but when you own a water distiller of your own, you actually save money.

Don’t make the same mistake I made.  If you buy a water distiller that is poorly made, you may have to replace it within a few years, which means you’ll have to buy a new one, which means you’re wasting money.  Buy one good one that will last you a really long time.

If you click the link below, you’ll be re-directed to a trusted site where you can buy your very own countertop water distiller that can last you for years.  Start paying pennies on the dollar for your water while everyone else is spending hundreds of dollars a year.

Benefits Of Distilled Water–Distilled Water And The Elderly

As you get older, it’s very important you keep a closer eye on your health. The older people get, it seems like the more medication is needed. When you drink distilled water, in a very small way, you may reduce the need of medication in your declining years.  How is this?

Bad Health Doesn’t Happen Overnight

What you do to your body the first 30 years can take a major toll on your body the next 50 years.  A major problem we have is we don’t properly hydrate our bodies and we don’t use the right type of water to hydrate our bodies.  When you drink tap water for decades, this can take a major toll on your overall health.  If you read my post, What’s In Your Water?–Why Drinking Distilled Water Is The Preferred Choice, it talks about the many things that is in your tap water and why drinking it for many years can be one of the reasons there are so many elderly people who have a plethora of health problems.

Some of the major health problems that are worth mentioning are:

  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Potential cancer due to certain carcinogens that are in tap water

Bad health is caused by bad habits.  I’m not the epitome of good health, but I try my best to do things and eat and drink things that reduces the damage I’ve been doing to my body over the years.  A good start is drinking distilled water as your main water source.

Let’s face, it the foods we eat, the drinks we buy, and when we bath and brush our teeth, we intake a certain amount of tap water, this is why you want to go for distilled water to flush out the toxins that your are letting into your body from the foods and drinks you consume and even when we bathe.

The Elderly Are More Likely To Be Sick.  Here’s Why…

As we get older, our bodies stop functioning properly.  We get joint pains in all of our joints.  Our backs aren’t as strong and sturdy as they were when we were young.  Impotence and incontinence becomes a major problem.  This is just the tip of the iceberg.  Could you be in your 80s and 90s and still have a functioning body like a person in their teens and 20s?  There are certain areas of the world that the population frequently reach 100 years old.  These people have been said to have the energy and strength of a 20 year old.  This might be an exaggeration, but even if they have the strength and energy of an 80 year old, and you’re 100 years old, that’s still saying a lot.

The elderly are more likely to be sick because in their youth, they did a lot of damage to their bodies.  Some intentional like heavy drug use, excessive  drinking, and massive weight gain.  Others had no control over what was about to come.  They inherited certain sicknesses and diseases from their family.  Their family may have a history of heart problems and they passed that on to their children.  We don’t know exactly how to reverse aging or how to live to be 100 years old and have the strength and energy of a teenager.  One thing that we do know is if you take care of your body, you’ll extend your life and hold on to your strength and energy levels a lot longer as you age.

One thing for certain is water is very important.  Joint inflammation (arthritis) can be decreased by being properly hydrated and eating foods that prevent inflammation of the body.  Circulatory problems comes from bad blood flow.  When your blood flow is blocked due to the heart not working properly, the veins, arteries, and capillaries being blocked by hard plaque,  etc, this can cause a chain reaction to other parts of your body.  One really good way to keep the blood flowing properly is by drinking distilled water (it holds a lot of toxins and flushes out your system of things that can get into your bloodstream and start to form a hard plaque) and eating foods and drinking other beverages that don’t destroy your circulatory system.

Consuming tap water over the years can be a problem for the people who have “done everything right” in their youth, but still end up having some type of sickness or disease when they become elderly.  Tap water can wreak havoc on your body due to the chemicals used in the tap water for the cleaning process, and anything else that got past the filtration and cleaning process.  Heavy metals will be a major problem because municipal water uses metal pipes.  Most of those pipes are so old and rusted but never have been replaced.  To replace every pipe in your city, that could mean weeks, months or even years of work, which may also mean no water for that city during that time.

If you were to start drinking distilled water now, you may be able to extend your life because your body isn’t getting all the bad stuff coming from your tap water.  You may improve your health because most of our health problems comes from improper hydration and eating foods and indulging in habits that can destroy our bodies. If you focus on consuming more distilled water, you may reduce the effects of the bad foods you eat or bad habits like smoking, drugs, and alcohol because your body is being flushed out.

A better way to improve your health all the way into your elder years, including drinking more distilled water, is to get rid of the habits that can destroy your body and start picking up habits that improve your body.  You don’t have to do everything at once.  If you work on these things every few years or so, you’ll see a big difference within the next few years after that.

Take care of your body now, so you’ll live to see your grandchildren grow up to be strong and healthy adults.

Tips That Can Improve Your Health And Well-Being That They Don’t Want You To Know

Did you know that just by changing a few simple things you extend your lifespan by 5-10 years or more?  Our bodies are amazing, simple, yet complex machines.  They’re simple because all we really require is eating, sleeping, mating, and do some type of physical activity to stimulate our minds and bodies.  They’re complex because there are things we are still discovering about the human body that changes our lives for the best or worst.

Years ago, people died from the common cold.  There have been studies that shows that, with proper nutrition and fasting for a certain period of time, you can reduce tumors and other things that modern medicine still struggles to find a cure (don’t take my word for it… look it up).

So why don’t “they” want you to know about improving your health and well-being without medical intervention?  Because you can do these things for little to no money.  Something as simple as drinking distilled water (price: ~ $1) and not eating for a certain amount of days, can give your body the rest it needs to reset and heal itself.  Once again don’t take my word for it… look it up!

If you start taking better care of your body by doing simple activities or eating a little different, you’ll see a huge improvement with little to no major effort:

  • Move around more often.  By doing something as simple as walking on a daily basis, you can actually lose a few pounds without killing yourself and running out of breath.
  • Drink more water.  The more hydrated your body is, the better it can function and remove toxins.
  • Do some type of resistance training with weights to increase muscle growth which can prevent bone and joint problems in your elder years.
  • Reduce the stress in your life.  All work and no play can destroy your health.  If you work hard, you have a right to play hard.

We have been conditioned to take a pill or cut out the problems we have with our bodies.  As the late Dr. Sebi said,

“If our bodies were meant to be cut open, we would come with zippers”.

Sometimes by relying on medicine and surgery you actually make the problem worse.  By medicating or cutting out one problem, you actually create another problem.  To prevent this from happening, make sure you are taking better care of yourself.

Why Should I Buy A Megahome Heavy Duty Distiller Instead Of A Cheaper One?

When it comes to home distillation, you want to use the best machines on the market. The Megahome Heavy Duty Distiller happens to be one of the most effective, yet cost-effective.  Even though it’s cost-effective, doesn’t mean it’s affordable for everyone.  When something is not affordable, people like to go the cheap route.

If you’ve read my honest product review, you already know that if I could do it again, I would’ve waited to buy the Heavy Duty Distiller instead of invest in a cheaply made machine.

A Few Problems I Found Out When I Went The Cheap Route

No matter what it is, we all want to get the most bang for our buck.  Unfortunately, we tend to head towards the cheaper route and expect to get the best results.  Sometimes we get lucky and realize we didn’t need to spend the extra dough, other times we actually pay more because once the cheap product breaks down, we end up getting the more expensive product because it’s going to last longer.

I bought a water distiller (I forget the name) at a very low price.  I thought that all of them were pretty much the same and the higher price was more due to name brand.  Little did I know that this is one of those cases where you want to spend a little money to get the best product.

When I got it home, the first problem was the machine came with a plastic water carafe, meaning that when I distilled my water, it’s sitting plastic for hours.  Distilled water comes out warm, so the heat makes your water taste like plastic (kinda like having a full gallon jug in the sun for a few hours).  I ended up having to buy a  glass carafe separately, which meant I was paying the same price for a really good machine.  This was only a small problem compared to the main problem.

After a while, I noticed that the bottom of my machine (on the inside of the boiling tank) there was a small crack. I was still able to distill my water, but this small crack is a sign that the product itself is cheaply crafted and it’s more of a product flaw than something that happens to water distillers as a common thing.

After using this machine for about 3-4 years, one day I did what I normally do to distill my water, turned the machine on, and in the middle of the distillation process, my machine shut off.  I tried this numerous times and it kept shutting off mid-distillation each time.

If I knew what I know now, I would have saved my money and INVESTED in a really durable, heavy duty machine that can stand the true test of time.  Your machine should last you way more than 3-4 years.

You Want To Take Good Care Of Your Water Distiller

If you spend hundreds of dollars on something, you better take really good care of it.  Water distillers are simple pieces of equipment, but they need to be taken care of and cleaned after each use.

“Why do I need to clean out a water distiller?  It’s not like it’s a juicer.”

When your boiling tank is completely boiled out, even though you put in clear tap water from your faucet, you’ll see the residue that was left behind.  Remember that tap water has been put through a process, so when you boil this water completely out of the tank during the distillation process, you’ll see what was left behind.  In my experience, I saw a white hard plaque that was stuck to the sides and bottom of the boiling tank.  You want to buy a cleaner that can clean out this stuff.  Your machine may come with a small bottle of scale cleaner that does a really good job.  When you run out of the stuff from that small bottle, you may be able to go to a hardware store (or Walmart) and buy something that can get the job done.  They also sell scale cleaner online.

The most important part about cleaning your machine is making sure it not getting any physical damage done to it.  Keep it dry (the parts that you’re not suppose to put water in), try not to drop it, etc.  When you want to fill up your boiling tank with water, do not submerge it into any water.  This can damage the machine’s heating coils.  Instead, take your water sprayer on the side of your faucet and use that.  Or you can fill a gallon jug up and pour it into the machine.

Another reason why you don’t want to go the cheap route is because no matter how good you take care of your machine, it won’t stand up to the test of time.  When you take good care of your machine, it should extend the life of your machine, not give it a little more time you can use it before it breaks down on you.

Why So Picky About A Machine That Just Distills Water?

It’s not that you’re being picky about a water distiller, you’re being picky about where to spend your money.  Some things you can buy cheap, use them and not really care if they break down.  Being that water is a very important part of our lives, a machine that distills your water is something you shouldn’t take for granted.  It’ not like you can say,

“Okay, if I want clean my water I use this distiller or I could put it through a filter and get the same results”

If your water distiller breaks down on you, you can either buy another one that’s going to cost you hundreds of dollars more or you could spend a dollar a day over a lifetime that’s going to cost more than if you had the machine.  You want to buy your machine one good time and use it for a really long time.

Think about having a good water distiller like having a really good car.  You could buy a crappy vehicle that  you need to spend hundreds of dollars every year, or you could buy a really good car that may be a little more costly, but it won’t break down so easily and it’s more reliable for years to come.

Everything breaks down eventually, but you want that time to be more farther into the future.  It’s better to buy something that may break down in 15 years or more than buy something that’s going to break down in about five.  Over those 15 years or more, you really get the most use out of your machine.

If you go the cheaper route, you’ll waste so much money trying to buy the cheapest product.  It’s wiser to save your money to buy the highest quality than spend a little money today and get a product that you’ll be spending money every 3-5 years to replace the one that broke.

A Family “Health Insurance Policy”

When you’re drinking more distilled water, you’re flushing you body out the way it’s suppose to be flushed out.  Why not get your whole family to join in.  If you educate your family on the importance of drinking more distilled water over tap water, you’re helping them get on the right path to better health.

You and your family may not be big water drinkers.  If you read the post, Benefits Of Distilled Water–How To Drink More Distilled Water A Day, you’ll learn how easy it actually is to drink the 8 glasses of water a day.  Water may not be a delicious drink, but it is the most important drink.

Do you know that most of the time when we think we’re hungry we may actually be thirsty and not even know it?  A lot of overeating comes because we are ignoring the quenching of our thirst.  If you drink more water you’ll notice that you need to eat less frequently.

When you take baby steps towards better health and weight control, water consumption is a part of that step.  In both cases, you’ll notice that the most fit and the most healthiest (yes, there is a difference) drink a lot of water.  If you’re drinking distilled water, you’re doing it at higher level.  Drinking distilled water has such a bad rep because people think that it’s going leech minerals from their bodies.  If you’re eating right, you are getting your minerals from your food.  This site’s goal is to inform you on the benefits of distilled water and why you want you and your family to reap the rewards of those benefits.

Who would have thought that something as simple as switching to distilled water and increasing your intake of distilled water could be one of your best health insurance policies?

Benefits Of Distilled Water–How To Drink More Distilled Water A Day

One of the best things you can do for your body is consume more water. You want to flush out toxins that enter your body. Why not choose water that holds more of those toxins and leaves nothing behind?  By always having a gallon of distilled water ready to drink, you’re able to increase your daily distilled water consumption.

Are You Drinking Enough?

Some say you should be drinking 8 glasses (that’s 8-8oz. glasses of water), others say you should drink a gallon or more per day.  Whatever method you use, when you’re feeling really thirsty, that’s a sign that you’re not drinking nearly enough.

You don’t want to drink water until your stomach explodes and if you’re going to be out and about, you don’t want to drink so much that you have to keep taking a bathroom break.  A really good approach is to drink water throughout the day.  If you don’t hit a certain number, don’t worry about it.  By drinking more water on a daily basis, you’ll realize that some days you’re barely hitting 8 glasses of water and other days you’re probably closer to drinking a gallon and a half.  Don’t obsess over the number, just try to drink more water until you’re hitting the numbers your body feels it needs.

Why Not Tap Water?

Just in case you haven’t read any of my other posts, the reason why you don’t want to drink tap water at high volumes is because you have so many contaminants in tap water that it seems to leave more toxins behind than flush them out of your body.

Tap Water has so many contaminants.  Here’s a few things you may find:

  • Chlorine
  • Fluoride
  • Heavy Metals
  • Pesticides
  • Bacteria and Viruses
  • and much, much more

If you’re trying to flush out toxins from your body, doesn’t it seem counterproductive to drink water that leaves even more toxins in than it actually flushes out?

The More “Empty” Your Water Is, The More Effectively It Flushes Out The Body

The reason why tap water should be your water choice is because, when it comes to things in your water, distilled water has NOTHING in it because everything has been left behind during the distillation process.  Some say that distilled water leeches minerals from the body, but this is only inorganic minerals (minerals that your body can’t fully absorb anyway).  Being that distilled water has nothing added, it is very mineral deficient.  Wanna know how to solve this problem?  Don’t look to your water for a mineral source!  All the food you eat, choose foods that can give your body the vitamins and minerals it needs.

Water is meant to flush out the body to keep it running at it’s optimal level.  If you’re consuming tap water all day long, you don’t know what this is.  Tap water has so many things in it that it may be leaving a ton of things behind when it passes your body.  This may also be a reason why no matter how healthy a person is, they end up with some type of disease.  Sometimes it’s not the food your eating (or lacking) but the type of water you use to flush your body out.

Another function water serves is lubricating the body.  Being that we lose a lot of water by sweating, breathing, urinating, defecating, etc., we need to put water back into our bodies so our bodies can remain functioning properly.  When the body is not well-lubricated, it can break down on you causing a set of other problems.

Drinking Only Distilled Water Can Get Very Expensive

Most people who drink distilled water drink it by buying it from their grocery store.  This can be very good for the body, but it can be very expensive over time.  If you were to drink one gallon a day, that’s about $1 per gallon a day.  That’s $365 a year.  We spend about that much each month on food, but you can actually save thousands of dollars a year by owning your very own water distiller that can cost about a year’s worth of distilled water if you’re drinking or using one gallon a day.

So how can it save you thousands if you’re spending only $365?  Well, think about it, if you’re only drinking a gallon a day of distilled water, if you have the machine, you may also cook with distilled water.  You may make your teas, coffees, soups, etc with distilled water.  If you’re a regular coffee drinking, you may be using about half a gallon at a time when you make your coffee.

The best part is it doesn’t ruin the taste of your food or drinks when you use distilled water instead of tap water.  By using distilled water instead of tap water, at least you know that the only thing added to your food is whatever you put in it.  By using tap water, you have added “ingredients” in your food before you added your own.

If You’re Not A Water Drinker, Here’s What You Can Do…

Just because you’re not drinking water, doesn’t mean you’re not hydrating your body.  You may not like drinking plain water, but you can drink a whole gallon of orange juice.  Plain water is very important because it flushes out the stuff that other foods and toxins leaves behind.  Being that we consume a lot of salt (even if the food doesn’t taste salty), we dehydrate our bodies and need to put that water back in.  When you drink plain water, it doesn’t add extra sodium (salt) into our bodies but gives our bodies the hydration it needs.  Drinking juice is okay and it gives you added nutrients  that water doesn’t have, but being that it has so many vitamins and other things in it, it won’t flush your body out as effectively as water does.

So being that we got that out of the way, let me give you a tip that can help you increase your consumption of good old H20.

For the first few weeks, don’t focus on drinking 8 8-ounce glasses of water, instead, drink at least 8 ounces of water after you wake up and a few hours before you go to bed.

When you wake up, after you brush your teeth, this is a really good time to do it (make sure you’re pouring yourself 8 ounces of distilled water and not drinking the stuff coming from the tap while you’re brushing your teeth).  The last 8 ounces of water to drink could be about 2-3 hours before you go to sleep.  This can prevent you from using that bathroom in the middle of your sleep.

Do this until you can drink 2 8-ounce cups of distilled water without a problem.

If you can consistently drink 1 8-oz cup of distilled water after you brush your teeth and one 8-ounce cup about 2-3 hours before you go to bed, increase it to 16 ounces after you brush your teeth and 16 ounces about 2-3 hours before you go to bed.  Drinking 16 ounces of water is very easy being that a lot of the beverages we consume are usually between 12-20 ounces when we go to restaurants or stores.  It helps if you have your favorite cup when you do this.

Do this until you can drink 2 16-ounce cups of distilled water effortlessly.

The best thing to do is buy a 32-oz. bottle that you can carry around with you that has a top with a tight seal.  After you brush your teeth, start drinking your first 32 ounces of water.  You  don’t have to chug it down.  As a matter of fact, you shouldn’t try to chug it to get it out of the way because you don’t want to treat it like you’re forcing yourself.  When you force yourself, you tend to give up a lot easier.  Take as long as you need to finish that first 32 ounces of water.  Once you’re done with that bottle, pour yourself another 32 ounces.  You want to finish your second 32 ounces of water at least 3-4 hours before you go to bed.  Being that you’re consuming more water, you want to give yourself a little more time to finish drinking your water before you go to bed to keep you from pissing like a race horse in the middle of the night.

Once you’re able to consume 2 32-oz. bottles of distilled water, you see how easy it really is to get 8 cups of water a day.

“How About A Gallon Of Distilled Water A Day?”

For those of you who want to drink a full gallon of distilled water per day may think it’s humanly impossible… especially if you’re not even able to drink 8 8-oz. glasses of water.  But from the example above, you now see that if you can drink 2 32-oz. bottles of water a day,  getting your 8 glasses of water a day is very simple.  If you can finish 2 32-oz. bottles of water a day, you’re halfway there.

Being that you’re already drinking a 32 oz. bottle of water after you brush your teeth and 3-4 hours before you go to bed, you can squeeze in another 2 32-oz. bottles in the middle of the day.

Being that we’re not always at home, you may feel it’s more convenient to take your 32 oz. bottle with you, along with a gallon jug of distilled water.  They sell empty gallon jugs online, so you’ll be able to make your distilled water and take it with you on the go.  If you want to go the extra mile, you can have a cooler with an ice pack in your car so your water can stay cold for hours.

After you brush your teeth, try to finish your first 32 ounces of water before you leave the house for work.  Take your 32 oz. bottle with you and your gallon jug of water.  Keep the cooler in your car so you can store your gallon jug and keep it cold.  Try to finish your second 32 ounces of water about 4 hours into your shift.  The third  32 ounces can be finished on the remaining 4 hours of your shift.

This whole time you may notice you’re going to the bathroom more frequently.  If you work at a job where you can’t go to the bathroom frequently, you may want to stick to only drinking one 32 oz. bottle of water within 8 hours of your shift.  Most jobs don’t like their employees taking frequent bathroom breaks… even it’s for legitimate reasons.

As far as the last of your gallon (it’s going to be a little under 32 ounces), try to finish that about 3-4 hours before your go to sleep.

You will be running to the bathroom throughout the day, but this is what it feels like to flush out your system.  If you’re working out, you’ll sweat out a lot of that water and be running to the bathroom.  It can get very annoying to go to the bathroom so much throughout the day, but this is what happens when you drink a gallon of water a day.

This Is The Reason Why You Want To Have Your Own Water Distiller

If you’re consuming a gallon of water a day alone, you still want to cook and drink hot beverages with distilled water.  This can get very expensive over time.  By having your own water distiller, where you can make your distilled water whenever you want throughout the day, it’s easier and cheaper to do it this way and store all your water in the empty gallon jugs.

It’s so much easier to make your water in advance so you will always have a gallon of water to consume and use for other purposes.  Your water distiller will not be one of those pieces of home machinery that sits somewhere and collects dust.

When I bought my water distiller, it got used multiple times throughout the day.  Some machines can’t handle constant daily use.  This is why you want to invest in a really good machine that will last you for years to come.

Should You Distill Your Own Water At Home Without A Water Distillation Machine?

How safe is home water distillation? It’s very important that you distill your tap water before drinking it or cooking with it. Why? Because tap water has contaminants that may be responsible for the illnesses and diseases we suffer from today.  So the question is,

“Should you distill your own water at home without a water distillation machine?”

What Is Water Distillation?

Water distillation is simple yet powerful.  When the water from the ground evaporates into the atmosphere and turns into rain, this is a form of water distillation.  You can mimic this process through something called steam distillation.  That means you heat water to a boil, the steam gets cooled and turns into condensation.  The condensation drips into another container where it gets collected for drinking.

This is a very slow process where it takes 1 gallon of water about 4-6 hours to complete the distillation process.  It may sound like a waste of time just to get a drink of water, but by putting your water through this process, you decrease the chances of having contaminants from entering your body through your drinking water.

What You Need To Know To Improve The Distillation Process

There’s something you need to do to ensure that your water has the least amount of contaminants when it fully complete the distillation process.  It’s not good enough to turn water from liquid to water vapor back into water to rid the water of contaminants.  There’s something called Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) that can contaminate your water before the boiling process begins.  This means that you need to prevent these compounds from getting into your distilled water before it even boils.  You do this by using carbon filtration as your water starts to vapor.

Homemade Water Distillation

There are people who find things around the house to use to distill their water.  This is very creative, but a lot of times these same people skip the carbon filtration process.

So all they’re doing is boiling water and collecting the condensed water into another container.  This is better than drinking tap water, but if you’re going to distill your water, you might as well do it right.

“It’s Better Than Drinking Tap Water, Right?”

Tap water is the last type of water you should drink.  Putting your water through a regular carbon filter (without distillation) is going to get rid of some contaminants like chlorine, lead, mercury, etc, but it doesn’t get rid of everything.  You still might have things like fluoride still pass through the filter.  Yes, it’s better than drinking tap water that has a lot of those unwanted contaminants in them, but it still has things in them that your body could do without.

When you drink water, you want the purest water you can get to get the best results that water is suppose to do for your body… flush it out and help it run at it’s optimal level.  By having contaminants and other things in your water, you may be leaving more things behind in your body that it can do without.

You Can Still Distill Your Water At Home And Get The Best Results

In order to get the best results, you need the best tool for the job, right?  Well, when it comes to home distillation, you need a machine that you can use to handle the evaporation, filtration, and water collection that comes from water distillation.  You need a water distiller machine.

Most people think that a makeshift distiller will be good enough.  As we’ve already mentioned, no one factors in the filtration portion of water distillation.  They’re trying to save money using whatever they can find around the house or buy parts from a hardware store that can do a “good enough” job at distilling their water.

Why go the cheap route when you can buy a machine that actually does what it’s suppose to do at an optimal level.

Different Types Of Water Distillers

Depending on the volume of water you want to consume or use, you want to make sure you get the right machine for the job.  Some people distill about 1-3 gallons of water a day because they drink and cook with it for themselves.  Other people like to distill more than 4 gallons of water a day.  For these people, they need a machine that automatically distills the water from the water line in their house.

Industrial Styled Water Distiller

If you like the idea of having distilled water whenever you want without the need of cleaning and manually filling the machine anytime you want to make a batch of water, you’re going to want a machine that connects to the water line and automatically does the job for you.

Click the Image for more details…

This machine actually distills 7 gallons of water a day and holds 6 gallons in it’s holding tank.  What does this mean?  It connects to the water line and distills the water all day long until the holding tank is full.  When the holding tank is full, it automatically shuts off.  When the holding tank start running low the machine shuts back on and begins the distillation process until the tank is full.

This machine is very convenient and gives a “set it and forget it” approach on the highest level.  Whenever you want to fill your water bottle or gallon jug, you don’t have to worry about setting the machine up each time you get a gallon of water.

Countertop Water Distillers

There are many types of countertop water distillers out there.  It usually boils down (no pun intended) to how long you want the water to distill, capacity, and design.  The good thing about countertop water distillers are they don’t take up a lot of space and they’re easy to use.

Most people prefer having a countertop water distiller because they’re less costly than the industrial-styled version.  Being that most countertop distillers don’t connect to your water line, you don’t need to have them on your countertop.  Some people have limited space on their countertop, so they might put their distiller somewhere else.

Here are a few examples of countertop water distillers you may find interesting:

There is one that I highly recommend and that’s this one…

Megahome Countertop Water Distiller

If you’re one of those people who think that “Water’s water”, distilled water is the best choice because you’re not digesting chemicals and other contaminants that tap water is loaded with.  These machine are a great investment because you buy them once and save a ton of money over time.  Buying distilled water by the gallon can be costly over the years, but buying a water distiller may cost you a lot one time, but you end up spending pennies on the dollar for multiple gallons of distilled water throughout the day.

Buying A Water Distiller Is A Wise Investment

If you think that the cost of the machine is not worth the purchase, think about your declining years.  As more research comes out, our drinking water can be linked to long-term ailments and diseases.  There are compounds and contaminants in tap water that can be linked to Crohn’s Disease, Alzheimer’s, and much more.

By consuming gallons of distilled water throughout your life time may save you money on your hospital bill.  Think about it, if your body is being properly flushed out, it’s running at it’s optimal performance and can prevent diseases that many people fall victim to.

In a lot of people’s elderly years, they have to take a smorgasbord of medication for things that has taken a toll on their bodies over the years.  How do we know that some of those diseases and ailments haven’t come from drinking a large volume of tap water over the decades.  You have to keep in mind that heavy metals can wreak havoc on the body when consumed.  Guess what’s inside of your tap water due to the use of metal pipes?

It’s Always A Good Idea To Store Bottled Water

There will come times of emergency where you’ll need to stock up on bottled water.  By stocking up on distilled water, not only are you getting the best water, but if you’re making it with your water distiller at home, you’ll be saving a lot of money.  By distilling your water over a few days throughout the day, you could have possibly 9-10 gallons of water that cost you nothing because you’re getting your water from a free source (the tap) and turning that water into crisp, clean water.

Sometimes it’s not an emergency.  If you don’t drink any other type of water but bottled water, you’ll notice that you can go through a gallon like it’s nothing sometimes.  You can make coffee, tea, soups, broths, and everything else with bottled water.  This can get very expensive buying your water.  By having  your own water distiller machine, you can make a batch of distilled water any time you want.   All you have to do is make sure you have enough empty jugs to keep all these gallons of water.

“But I Don’t Like The Taste Of Distilled Water”

Distilled water has a very unique taste.  You have to keep in mind that all your life, you’ve been drinking water that has something in it.  Distilled water has nothing in it (not counting the things that come in contact with your water from the air), so it’s not going to have a familiar taste.

After drinking distilled water for a while, you’ll get use to the taste and actually dislike the taste of tap water.  This is actually a good thing.

My thoughts On Having A Home Water Distiller Machine

I did an honest product review on the Megahome Heavy Duty Distiller because I felt it was the best home countertop water distiller and the one I had was not built to last.  I wish I had purchased the Megahome Heavy Duty Distiller when I made my purchase.  One day I went to distill a batch of water and I noticed that the machine would keep shutting off mid-distillation.  This means that if you buy a cheap distiller you may have the same problem.

The reason why I recommend people buy their own water distiller is because you always want to be able to have clean water anytime you want.  Just like people who want to have a fresh cup of coffee anytime they want, they’ll buy a coffee maker and some coffee.  The best thing about distilled water is you’re not buying water to make it… you’re converting FREE tap water into distilled water.

Fortunately, if you are not ready to buy a machine, the cleanest, most purest water you can buy is also the cheapest water you can buy.  For the price of a 20 oz. bottle of spring water, you can buy a gallon of distilled water.  Distilled water gets a bad rep because it has no minerals or anything added, but you can get minerals from the foods you eat.  As a matter of fact the water that has minerals added is the water you shouldn’t be really drinking… tap water.

Get Your Very Own Home Water Distiller Machine

A product I highly recommend because it not too expensive like an industrial water distiller yet it’s built to last unlike the cheaper water distillers, is the Megahome Heavy Duty Distiller.  I bought one that cost about $100-something and it broke on me in a matter of a few years.  I wasted money on a cheaply made machine and now all I’m saying to myself is I should have made a better investment the first time around.

If you can’t shell out the money for a water distiller today, I highly recommend you save your money and either get an industrialized version (if you use and consume higher volumes of distilled water) or the Megahome Heavy Duty Distiller.  In both cases, you’ll have a superior machine that can last you a really long time and save you a ton of money years down the line.

You’ll realize that you’ll be saving yourself hundreds or even thousands of dollars years down the line when it comes to water distillers.

Story Time: What Made Me Start Drinking Distilled Water

With every journey or habit, there’s a beginning.  This is my beginning to better health by drinking distilled water.  After reading this, you may decide to make the switch yourself.

In The Beginning, Water Was Just Water

whats-in-your-water-water-out-of-thin-airWhen I was younger, I never understood why would people pay $2 for a bottle of water when they could get it for free from under their faucet.  Little did I know that water’s not just water.  There’s a little more to it than that.

I wasn’t a big water drinker, but whenever I wanted to take a swig of water, I would run my cup under the faucet and get some.  When I was out and about and needed water to drink water after playing sports, I would go to the fire hydrant and run my empty bottle under it and start drinking.  I would usually drink when I was extremely thirsty.

When I heard people say they wanted bottled water, I would think they were acting snobbish and bougie.  It’s funny how I think different now compared to back in the day (which was only about 3-4 years ago).

This is gonna be a story of how I discovered drinking distilled water as my preferred choice.

I Made Fun Of A Co-Worker For Drinking Fiji Water, But I Didn’t Know That This Was The Start Of My Water Journey

benefits-of-distilled-water-on-the-body-drinking-waterThis was during a time I started getting on something called Intermittent Fasting.  This is when you don’t eat for about 16 hours or more and have about 8 hours to eat all your allowed calories.  So if you’re cutting, you eat under a certain amount of calories.  If you’re bulking, you eat over maintenance.  This is to gain muscle and burn fat.  Anyway, I was eating whatever I wanted, but as long as I was under a certain amount of calories, I was still burning fat.

I would come into work and see one of my co-workers always bring in a big Fiji water bottle.  Me, along with a few other co-workers, would make fun of him, putting on a “rich snob’s” voice saying,

“Hmmm, Hmmm, Let me drink my Fiji Woor-Tah”

It was cool because and he didn’t get offended or anything like that.  Little did I know that him drinking Fiji water, sparked an idea in my head without me even realizing it.  Should  I be drinking a better quality of water?

I Wanted To Increase My Water Intake

When it comes to health and fitness, it’s very important that you increase your water intake.  Why?  You need to replace the water you lose through sweating.  It also helps with weight loss.  I wasn’t drinking anywhere near the amount they said I should have been drinking.  Most fitness people say instead of 8 8-oz glasses of water, which comes to 64 ounces of water or half a gallon, you should be drinking a gallon to a gallon and a half of water per day.

It wasn’t that hard to do, but the only problem I had (and still have) is constantly running to the bathroom.  Literally, it does get to a point where you  have to use the bathroom so bad that you’re running to the bathroom!   Drinking a gallon of water was a common number, so I started drinking a gallon of water a day.

At this time, I was drinking tap water, but when I did research on water, I realized how much stuff is in tap water, so I was looking into different types of water that’s better than tap.

I Wanted To Drink A Higher Quality Of Water

There’s a YouTube channel I watch that talks about different topics, but one of the people on the panel drinks alkaline water and he talks about a machine he uses.

During this time, I didn’t know anything about distilled water.  I knew it existed, but I didn’t know the stuff I know now. I didn’t even know what distillation was because I didn’t care too much for it.

I watched videos on alkaline water and the machines used to alkalize your water.  It was costly, but I was interested in drinking alkaline water at this time.

What does alkaline mean?  If you look at the PH chart, it’s numbered from 0-14.  From 0-6, this means something is acidic, 7 is neutral, and 8-14 is alkaline or basic.  If your body is very acidic, you may be more susceptible to getting sick.  If your body is more alkaline, you are less likely to get sick.  In both cases, you want your body to be slightly more alkaline.  You don’t want to be off into the extremes in either direction.  Water is not suppose to be acidic or basic, so it is marked as neutral or 7.  If you test different waters, you’ll find out that it’s not always at a 7.

There are videos I saw on Youtube that showed a lot of the water we drink is more acidic than alkaline.  This had me looking for water that was alkaline so I can get the best benefits.  The water that was most alkaline was the Fiji water my co-worker was drinking.  I stopped making fun of him, but still used the snobbish voice just to get good laughs when talking about Fiji water.

I Bought Water Filter That Alkalized The Water

The machines were very costly, but I did find a pitcher that filtered a lot of the impurities in tap water (not all) and alkalized the water in the process.  I filled a gallon jug and carried it with me to work and made sure I would get as close to drinking a gallon a day as possible.

I don’t know if it was because I was drinking alkalized water regularly or if it was because I upped my water intake, but I was feeling better.  I had more energy and felt amazing.  I was still doing my water research because I wanted to drink the best water I could drink.

I’ve Been Hearing Bad Things About Fluoride And How It Can’t Be Removed With A Water Filter

So I’m drinking the alkalized water, but I did notice that out of the many things it removes from the water, it never said anything about fluoride.  I heard about how we shouldn’t be drinking fluoridated water years ago, and I wanted to know what filter filters out fluoride.

I must have seen dozens of videos on people talking about how bad fluoride is bad for you and it made me wonder:

“If I’m drinking alkaline water, that still has fluoride in it, am I getting the best water I could whats-in-your-water-fluoridedrink?”

I started thinking that once fluoride was in the water, it couldn’t be taken out.  Then I started doing searches on how to remove fluoride from your water.  Little did I know, but there is a way you can remove fluoride from your water, but it’s not with a filter.

Saw Videos On How To Remove Fluoride From Your Water

After doing a few searches on how to remove fluoride from your water, I saw a few videos that said “distill your water”.  I didn’t know what distilled was.  I knew there was distilled water and distilled vinegar, but I didn’t know what “distilled” meant.  So I did a search on “what does distill mean”.

I found out what it meant and how it’s used to purify water when people are in an area where there is no drinkable water around.

I saw a video on tap water vs distilled water.  A man in a lab coat was talking about all the stuff in our tap water and how, according to medical journals, it may be responsible for a lot of diseases we have today.  He boiled two pots of water–one was tap water and the other was distilled water.  While the pots were boiling, he explain what’s in tap water, spring water, and why you want to switch to drinking distilled water.

After the pots were boiled out, he showed both pots to the audience in the room.  The one with tap water had a white ring at the bottom of the pot and the distilled water had nothing at the bottom of the pot.  As a matter of fact, if you look at some of your pots you drink tea out of, you may notice a white film or plaque at the bottom of the pot.  This plaque is what may be stuck to the walls of your arteries and organs from drinking tap water for many years.boiled-out-tap-water

I also heard other stuff about distilled water saying that it leads to an early death.  I was curious on why.  They mentioned that it can cause heart problems, it leeches minerals from the body, and it’s “dead water” because it doesn’t have the minerals your body needs.

I saw another  video from a guy by the name of Andrew Norton Webber, who was praising distilled water.  If you look him up, he has videos that are hours long, but I was interested in what he was talking about and I saw more than one of his videos.  He is the one who explains why drinking distilled water won’t lead to an early death.  He said:

  • distilled water doesn’t cause heart problems, but that feeling you feel in your chest my be a slight muscle spasms due to the distilled water doing a little detox.
  • distilled water leeches inorganic minerals only.  The type of minerals that really don’t belong in your body.  It leaves the organic minerals in tact.  You know, the minerals that are found naturally in food.  The distilled water “magnetizes” itself to the inorganic minerals and excretes them through the body during urination.  The organic minerals are not dealt with in the same manner.
  • he also mentioned something that makes distilled water so powerful.  He said being that distilled water is so empty of minerals and things that are found in other waters, it holds more toxins, which means it’s the best water to cleanse your system.

I was sold on the idea of drinking distilled water after watching his videos.

Bought Distilled Water By The Gallon

distilled-water-stockpileAfter watching the videos, I started buying my water by the gallon.  I noticed that distilled water is very cheaply priced compared to spring water and found this kinda weird.  Being that there’s nothing to market with distilled water (because it has nothing in it), spring water and other waters are priced higher because they add things in them to “enhance” the power of the water.  I’ve never bought distilled water and never drank it before (I may have had products that were made with distilled water, but I never drank it by itself).  I noticed the taste was very different.  It didn’t taste like metal, it didn’t taste like chlorine.  It tasted very flat.  Not bad, just flat.  This is a taste you get use to.

I did get slight muscle spasms in my chest when drinking the distilled water, but that was a detox effect, nothing to go to the hospital for.  After a few days of drinking distilled water, you shouldn’t get them anymore.

While drinking distilled water of out of a gallon, one of my concerns was BPA.  This is a by-product that comes from plastic and distilled water comes in plastic jugs.  So I wanted to go one more step further.  I bought a water distiller and a BPA-free water jug, and later on, a glass water jug.

Made The Investment In A Water Distiller And The Rest Is History

Buying a water distiller is a very good investment.  Not only do you save money because you’re converting free tap water into distilled water, but it doesn’t get exposed to plastic… if you use a glass carafe.  The problem with the machine I bought was it came with a plastic water carafe, and when I made my batch of distilled water for the first time, my water smelled like the plastic carafe and it tasted like plastic.

When you distill water, it comes out warm.  When you put warm beverages into a plastic container, the plastic starts to leech into the beverage, making it taste like plastic.  I didn’t drink the gallon that I made and I bought a glass carafe a few days or weeks later.

Once I bought the glass carafe, I didn’t have a problem with the water tasting like the container ever again.  I took the water from the carafe and put it inside my BPA-free water jug.

I Didn’t Choose The Best Counter Top Water Distiller, But You Can

The water distiller I chose came with a plastic water carafe.  It made my distilled water smell and taste like plastic, even when I put the water in a glass container.  I had to pay another $50-something dollars to buy a glass carafe to give my water the best taste and purity it can get.  Something I’ve also noticed about the water distiller I bought was it looked like something was sticking up a little bit inside the bottom of the water distiller.  This only happened over a course of about 2-3 years.  This is not something that should happen to your water distiller.

Don’t go the cheap route.  The one I bought cost about $150-$180, but I had to spend an additional $50-something dollars for the glass water carafe.  It didn’t even come with a handle.  The machine started wear at the bottom of the distiller after only a few years.

“I’ll Never Drink Tap Water Again”–Top 10 Reasons To Switch To Distilled Water

Not too many people know about distilled water.  Some people who find out about it, have heard terrible things like “It can cause an early death” and “it leeches minerals from the body.  This is not true about the “early death” information and the only minerals it leeches are the inorganic minerals that can be responsible for deteriorating your health.

This post is gonna go through the top 10 reasons why I switched from drinking tap water to drinking and cooking with distilled water.

Reason #1–Distilled Water Is The Purest Water To Drink

The more pure your water is, the more it can quench your thirst, cleanse your body, and eliminate toxins without leaving anything behind.  The problem with tap water is it has chemicals, heavy metals, fluoride, and microorganisms before it reaches your faucet.

Tap water may be responsible for a lot of disease we have today such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Crohn’s Disease, certain cancers, etc.  The reason why is because we are drinking large volumes of water that’s putting things into our bodies that don’t belong.

Reason #2–Tap Water And Other Types Of Water Leave Things Behind When You Drink Them

Before the tap water reaches your faucet, it has been disinfected and loaded with chemicals that can cause health problems in the long run.  Depending on the area, you may have a higher water contamination crisis than others.  It’s very important you understand that when you’re trying to cleanse your body using tap water, you may be flushing some stuff out, but you’re also leaving a lot behind.

With spring water, it all depends on the source.  Certain companies use different water sources and these sources may not always be the best.  You may not have all the chemicals as tap water, but you may have microorganisms that got passed the filtration process.  It may not be enough to harm you, but when it comes to cleansing your body, you want nothing left behind.

Reason #3–Distilled Water Is Cheap To Buy Compared To Other Bottled Waters

The higher the name brand of your water, the more expensive it becomes.  If the water has some kind of mineral or electrolytes added to it, this also raises the price.  Fortunately, people fall for the marketing, leaving the best water on the market, the lowest priced water on the market.

In order for water to be considered “distilled”, it has to be tested and have nothing added to it such as fluoride, chlorine, any heavy metals, etc.  It must be purified, removing everything from it.  Why?  Distilled water is not just used for drinking.  People use distilled water for machinery.  If they use tap water or some other type of water, it may rust the machinery, making the water company responsible.  Doctors and dentist use it for their patients.  If the water has any contaminants in it, it can cause the patient to have an infection.  If the water is not distilled, and the patient gets an infection, the doctors can be sued.

So if you’re buying your water by the gallon, you may be spending about $2 a gallon for spring water or water with additives, while pure distilled water will only cost you about $1.  When you only drink these types of water everyday, it does get very expensive over time.

Reason #4–It’s The Best Water To Detox And Cleanse Your Body

If you were to ever go on a water fast or some kind of detox, did you know that distilled water would be the best choice?  Why?  Well, being that there’s nothing left behind when you drink distilled water, all of your organs and cells are being flushed and all of the toxins are being eliminated at a much higher rate than drinking any other type of water.

Distilled water is sometimes called “empty water” because it has no nutrients, no chemicals, no nothing added to it.  If there’s nothing in it, when it leaves your body, it takes the bad stuff with it, and leaves nothing behind.  When your water does this, you have a more effective detoxifying of your body and you’ll feel the difference.

Reason #5–Distilled Water Can Prevent Kidney Stones

Kidney stones are formed in the body by excessive amounts of calcium forming in the kidneys.  The bigger these stones get, the more painful it becomes when you try to pass them.  I’ve never had kidney stones, but I could imagine trying to pass something that’s as big as a kidney bean (no pun intended) through something the size of a coffee straw.

When you drink more distilled water, you don’t give these stones a chance to form.  Your body is being flushed on a regular basis, which means your kidneys are constantly free of calcium build up.  If you drink tap water, there are traces of heavy metals in your water from the pipes they travel, which may be left behind when you urinate.  Over time, this can be something that you’re trying to pass out of your system.

Reason #6–Distilled Water Helps Improve Mental Clarity

Distilled water cleanses your body… your whole body.  When your body is cleanse, this can improve your mental clarity.  When your body is cleanse, it helps you get better sleep (unless you’re constantly waking up to use the bathroom), which keeps your mind sharper.

You want to keep in mind that when your water is loaded with chemicals and heavy metals, this can affect your brain function.  Studies show that aluminum and other heavy metals could be responsible for brain degenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.  This can be prevented by drinking water and decreasing or eliminating your intake or use of aluminum products that can get into your bloodstream.

Reason #7–You Can Cook With It And Make Teas And Coffee With It And It Doesn’t Ruin The Taste

I wrote a post called, Benefits Of Distilled Water–Coffee, Tea, And Cooking, that talks about being able to use distilled water for drinking as well as cooking with.  When you  use tap water, those chemicals and other impurities still get into your food, even though you’re boiling the water.  With distilled water, you can use it and it will not ruin the taste.

Some people may think that you’ll lose nutrients in your food if you cook with distilled water.  The truth is, whatever nutrients you’ll lose with any other type of water, you may lose it with distilled water.  Your body takes what it needs and eliminates the rest.  So the nutrients you lose through cooking your food, may not be enough  to get too concerned.

We eat so much food throughout the day that we get our nutrients from all the food we eat.  Whatever the body doesn’t use, it eliminates.  This is one of the reasons why when you take vitamins, your urine turns a brighter color.  This is your body getting rid of the excess vitamins it doesn’t need.

Reason #8–You Can Make It Right From Your Kitchen

Have you ever heard of a water distiller?  These are machines you can buy that will distill the water for you.  All you do is connect it to your water line or manually pour the water into the machine.  Once the process is done, you have crystal clear, drinkable distilled water.

The good thing about distilled water is that it’s bringing water back to it’s essence.  All you’re doing is removing anything that was in the water.  Nature did not intend for water to have chemicals and heavy metals in it.  Nature did not intend for water to have fluoride in it.  When you have a machine that eliminates all of that, right from your kitchen counter, you’ll notice the improvement of you and your family’s health.

Buying a water distiller is one of the best investment you can make for you and your family’s health for a number of reasons.  Two are low cost for distilled water and drinking a more higher quality water.

Reason #9–When You Buy A Machine To Distill Your Water, You’re Spending Pennies On The Dollar For Distilled Water

By investing in a water distiller, you are doing what the water companies do before they put it into the gallon jug.  They take plain tap water and convert it into distilled water.  You’re taking free tap water that comes right out of your faucet, putting it through a machine, and the end product is crystal clear water with nothing added but everything taken away.

If you did the math, you’ll find out that by distilling your water, all you’re doing is buying a machine, which cost about $300 for a really good one that distills at optimal level, you’re buying carbon filters to filter out things during the distillation process, and you’re paying for a lime and scale cleaner to clean out the leftover from the water you’ve distilled.

So it’ll cost you roughly about $730 to buy two gallons of water a day for one year.  It’ll cost roughly about $384 for the first year you invest in your water distiller.  After you buy the machine, all you’re doing is buying cleaner for the machine and carbon filters.  So you may be paying about $84 a year for about 3 gallons of water a day if you do a comparison.  It may be even less depending on how much your filters and lime and scale cleaner costs.

You may not like the idea of paying so much for a machine that just purifies your water, but as you can see, you’ll get a return on your investment right away.

Reason #10–You Improve Your Health Dramatically Just By Drinking Water

When you’re told to drink 8 8-oz glasses of water, it’s only good for you if the quality of the water is good.  By drinking this amount of distilled water a day, you may extend your life and improve your health on so many levels.  If you do your research, just by drinking more distilled water per day, you’ll be shocked at what can happen to your body if you make the switch.  I’ll leave this research up to you.

If you’re concerned about your health and your energy level, you’ll find out by drinking more distilled water, things will start to change.  If you lack energy and have ache and pains, by cleansing your system, you’ll get rid of things forming in your system that’s causing these aches and pains.  You’ll start getting more sleep (just try not to drink too much water before you go to bed), and a higher quality of sleep that will give you more mental clarity.

This sounds like I’m exaggerating  but I’m actually leaving a lot of benefits out because I’m not a doctor or nutritionist, who say so much more amazing things about your body when you drink more distilled water.

With all these reasons, you’ll want to make the switch, too.  Drinking distilled water on a daily basis will improve the quality of your health.  Tap water is loaded with chemicals and may actually be responsible for a lot of the diseases we have in this day and age.  If you think it doesn’t matter what kind of water you drink, after drinking distilled water and knowing about all the benefits it has, you’ll never want to go back to tap water ever again.
